PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Three members of the Providence College men's and women's track teams will compete at the 2008 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on June 11-14. The NCAA Championships is scheduled to be held in Des Moines, Iowa at Drake Stadium. Junior Danette Doetzel (Macklin, Saskatchewan) and junior Katie DiCamillo (Garden City, N.Y.) will represent the women's team at the NCAA's while senior Ahmed Haji (West Hartford, Conn.) will represent the Providence College men's team.

Doetzel will compete in the 10,000 meters. On May 3, she posted an automatic qualifying time of 33:27.64 in the 10,000 meters at the 2008 BIG EAST Outdoor Track Championship, en route to the BIG EAST individual title. DiCamillo was selected to compete in the 5,000 meters after her performance at the NCAA East Regional Championship on May 30 in Tallahassee, Fla. DiCamillo posted a time of 16:33.70 at the Regionals.

Haji will compete in the 5,000 meter event on the men's side at the NCAA Championships. Haji earned a qualifying time of 13:57.01 at the Penn Relays on April 24-26 in Philadelphia, Pa.
