PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Providence College men's basketball Head Coach Keno Davis today (June 30) announced that Cary Collins has been hired as the coordinator of basketball operations. Earlier in the month, he announced the hirings of Chris Davis, Rodell Davis and Pat Skerry as assistant coaches. Collins joins Keno Davis' staff after spending seven years at ESPN. Collins started at ESPN in 2001 as a production assistant. In 2003, he was promoted to associate producer and then feature producer, a position he held for the last three years. Collins, a 1995 graduate of the University of Iowa, served as a manager for seven years (1990-97) for the Hawkeyes under Head Coach Tom Davis. After leaving Iowa in 1997, Collins spent four years (1997-01) working as a production assistant and scheduler at PGA Tour Productions. Collins is a native of Le Mars, Iowa.
